Now that the season has come to an end, we did not hesitate taking a little time off for ourselves. A 4 day trip to the East Outlet River was an Angler's dream for catching Brookies and a few Landlock's. Our stay at Wilson's Camps was very pleasing and the River's water level could not have been better. We waded our way accross and back with ease. Brookies were hitting on Hares-Ear nymphs with best results on size 16 & 18. My Orvis 5wt Helios was smokin'. I have to credit Orvis for a wonderful fly rod. This rod is above & beyond any expectations. It made my trip that much more pleasurable. I strongly recommend this off-season trip for any Angler. We've added a brand new 2010 Mako Bay 1800LTS to our fleet. Powered with a Super Quite 90hp Merc-Optimax and a fly fishing deck which is out of this world. A perfect boat for the serious angler. As we begin preparations for the 2010 season, don't forget that we are open every day. Our selection of fly tying materials is massive along with some super savings on rods & reels. We are located on Route 1 in Wells, Maine just south of the shopping plaza and about one mile from the Atlantic coast. The shop is family owned and operated by the Bretons and is open year round. With a brand new building built in 2005, we now have everything under one roof. Our primary line of bikes is Gary Fisher and Eastern BMX. We offer you a complete service department along with parts and accessories. Our Fly Fishing department is outfitted with products from Orvis - St Croix - JP Ross - T.F.O. - Bauer and many other great products. We stock over 100 Fly Rods to choose from along with a large inventory of ready made fly's as well as fly tying materials. We offer Fly Tying classes during the off-season and our motto is to always "have something special on sale". In 2006 we introduced a complete new line of Bait & Tackle. We now have a great rounded selection of products for everyone to enjoy.
During the busy months we are open 9:am to 5:pm, Monday through Sunday. If you're an early bird and in need of some bait.....give us a call the day before and we'll prep' for an early pick-up.
